Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has approached the Delhi High Court against the misuse of her name, likeness, and fake AI images. The petition was filed on September 9, 2025, seeking legal protection of her personality rights and removal of digitally manipulated content circulating online.<\/p>\n
In her plea, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stated that several websites are using her photographs, morphed pictures, and AI-generated images without consent. The petition highlights that some of the manipulated content includes intimate fake photographs and merchandise such as mugs and T-shirts carrying her name and image.<\/p>\n
The actor also informed the court that multiple sites are presenting themselves as her official platforms, though she has never authorized them. She has requested a permanent injunction to stop the misuse of her identity.<\/p>\n
The case is being heard by Justice Tejas Karia. The Delhi High Court has sought details of the specific URLs where Aishwarya Rai Bachchan fake AI images are being circulated. The court indicated that it will consider granting ad-interim injunctions to block these links and prevent further misuse while the proceedings continue.<\/p>\n
The matter has been listed before the Joint Registrar on 7 November 2025 and for a full hearing on 15 January 2026.<\/p>\n
The petition comes amid a rising number of legal cases in India regarding misuse of celebrity images and deepfakes. Shortly after Aishwarya\u2019s move, her husband Abhishek Bachchan also filed a similar plea in the Delhi High Court against unauthorized use of his photographs and AI-generated content.<\/p>\n
