The Sindh government has announced a 5 September holiday in Pakistan along with 6 September to mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi 2025 Pakistan. The two-day holiday will be observed across the province.

Official Notification on 5 September Holiday in Pakistan

According to the notification issued on Wednesday, government offices, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under Sindh’s administration will remain closed. The holiday falls on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Essential Services During Eid Milad-un-Nabi 2025 Pakistan

The provincial government clarified that essential services will remain operational. Officers on flood duties, emergency response, and other critical services will continue to work during the Eid Milad-un-Nabi 2025 Pakistan holidays.

Federal Government Declares Nationwide Holiday on 6 September

The federal government has already declared 6 September 2025 a public holiday nationwide. Sindh extended the observance with an additional 5 September holiday in Pakistan, making it a two-day break.

Across Pakistan, citizens mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi 2025 Pakistan with processions, religious gatherings, and recitations. The day is dedicated to honoring the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
